"You have to finish things — that's what you learn from, you learn by finishing things."
Today, I share a tale of an early morning trail run, where the forest's whispers carry a lesson as profound as a Coltrane solo.
As dawn’s light unfurled across Mangamahoe, I set out once more, the air cool and invigorating. Each footfall on the trail was a deliberate note in the symphony of my training. The trees, ancient sentinels, stood witness to my resolve.
The path ahead was not without its challenges. Roots reached out like the fingers of forgotten giants, and inclines rose steeply, demanding my full attention. Yet, with each step, I was reminded of the importance of seeing things through to the end.
In the rhythm of the run, I found reflections of my life's pursuits. Encouraging Jukka in his electronic endeavors or nurturing my daughter’s artistic spirit requires the same dedication to completion. It’s the final brushstroke, the last connection, that brings the masterpiece to life.
In writing my health, fitness, and self-improvement blog, it's the completion of each post that teaches me the most. The process of finishing reveals the hidden nuances and the depth of understanding that only the end can bring.
So, as I pushed through the last stretch of my run, the forest opening to a vista bathed in morning light, I felt the truth of the lesson settle within me. Finish what you start, for it’s in completion that true learning and growth reside. Embrace the journey, honor the effort, and let the act of finishing be your guide to mastery.
