This morning, I did the unthinkable—I willingly went for a run along Wellington's waterfront. The air was crisp, the water annoyingly perfect, like a postcard someone sent to mock your sedentary lifestyle. As I trudged along, gasping for breath, I recalled the quote: "Be more concerned with your character than your reputation." Sure, because the strangers watching my flailing arms and red face are definitely pondering my inner virtues. Reputation is a passing shadow, they say. Well, my character must be rock solid as I stumble through this ordeal. Who needs a good reputation when you've got... character?
